Building for both sides of the screen.
I'm a Computer Science and HCI graduate at Carleton University, where I research serious games at the ALT Games Lab. HCI taught me to design for the person in front of the screen, while CS taught me to architect what runs behind it. I believe great software requires both: an exceptional experience for the user, and elegant engineering behind the scenes. I focus primarily on games, but I apply that same intentionality to my work with tools, data, and interactive applications.
